Augusta University’s Health Management, Economics and Policy Department is seeking on post-doctoral fellow with doctoral degrees in health economics, public health, or an allied science to work closely on several research studies mainly focused on social determinants of health.
This post-doctoral fellow will dedicate most of their time to collaboratively writing papers, researching proposals and analyzing related data. For those interested in developing teaching skills, we can assign one course in our MPH program. A mentorship committee will be supporting the fellow during the two years commitment.
The fellowship will be housed within the Department of Health Management, Economics and Policy at the Institute of Public and Preventive Health (https://www.augusta.edu/institutes/ipph/).
The fellow will be based at Augusta University (formerly known as the Medical College of Georgia) in Augusta, Georgia. This fellowship is a two-year, full-time position. The salary and benefits will be commensurate with NIH standards. The start date is flexible, but an earlier start date is preferred.
A doctoral degree or equivalent in health economics, public health, or an allied science. Candidates must have recently earned a doctorate, or, if they are still in candidacy, must have scheduled their defense date. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Experience or interest in meta-analysis and experiments is desired.
